People in a society for all
In this field, we conduct research on people, technology, pedagogy and design for an inclusive society. We want to contribute to an increased equality by using a person's perspective as our starting point and conduct research in the specific situation of a person's life.
Through our research, we work for an equal society where no one is left out. People have different abilities, and these can vary over time and in different situations for the same person. By co-creating with the users concerned and through Universal Design, we develop new technologies, design concepts and inclusive solutions that work for as many people as possible from the start, with the aim of enabling all people to participate in and contribute to society.
We do research on:
- Universal design
- Crisis management and inclusion
- Tools for inclusive solutions in the physical environment
- Tactile screens for access to digital images for people with visual impairments
- Multisensory musical instruments for people with severe disabilities
